Chyavanaprasam is a traditional, sweet herbal preparation centred around Amla (Indian gooseberry). Prepared in a rich base of ghee, sesame oil and cane sugar with carefully selected herbs, it is enjoyed as a daily tonic-style paste in many Ayurvedic households.
Ingredients
Amla (Emblica officinalis) in a traditional avaleha base of ghee, sesame oil and cane sugar, prepared with a wide range of supporting Ayurvedic herbs as per the classical Chyavanaprasam recipe.
How to use
Adults: typically 10, 15 g (about 1 tablespoon) once daily, or as advised by your Ayurvedic practitioner. Children above 6 years: 5, 10 g (1, 2 teaspoons) once daily, based on age and body weight. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Chyavanaprasam
Contains sugar and ghee; not suitable for individuals who must avoid these ingredients unless advised by a healthcare professional. Use with care in diabetes, metabolic concerns or strict low-sugar diets; consult your practitioner first. Not recommended during pregnancy or for children under 3 years unless professionally supervised. Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
Benefits
Amla-centred chyawanprash is traditionally taken for everyday vitality and general well-being. The rich combination of fruit, ghee, oils and spices makes Chyavanaprasam a nourishing companion during periods of physical or mental strain, supporting you in staying nourished, grounded and balanced through the seasons.
