Dadimadi Ghritham (a classical herbal ghee preparation) is made by Sitaram Ayurveda in the enduring Kerala tradition, in which selected botanicals are patiently infused into clarified butter so that their character is drawn fully into the finished preparation. It is one of the most revered forms in the classical Ayurvedic repertoire, prepared with care.
Dadimadi Ghritham
The classical Ghritham
A Ghritham holds a distinguished place in Ayurveda, valued as a medium that carries the qualities of its botanicals gently and completely. Preparations of this kind have long been kept within Dinacharya, the classical ordering of the day, and are understood in Ayurvedic thinking in terms of the balance of the three Doshas according to one's constitution. The making of a Ghritham is a slow craft, and the smooth, aromatic result reflects the patience of the traditional method.
How to use
Traditionally a small measure of the ghee is taken with a little warm water, according to the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner. Introduce it gently and allow it to become a steady part of the daily routine. Keep the jar closed and stored in a cool, dry place.
Heritage since 1921
Dadimadi Ghritham is prepared in Kerala under Sitaram Ayurveda's GMP-certified quality practices, carrying forward a lineage of classical herbal craft that reaches back to 1921.
