The classical form
Within Ayurveda, a Lepam is among the oldest external forms, made by working herbs into a smooth paste intended for topical application. Such preparations have a long place in Dinacharya (the daily routine of self-care), applied carefully and then allowed to rest upon the skin before being gently removed. Traditional texts describe pastes of herbs with a cooling, astringent character.
How to use
Apply a thin, even layer to clean skin over the chosen area. Allow it to settle for a short while, then rinse away gently with clean water and pat dry. Use as part of an slow external routine. For external use only.
