Murivenna is one of the most cherished herbal oils of the Kerala tradition, prepared by Sitaram Ayurveda to time honoured methods. In the classical Ayurvedic household it belongs to the world of Thailam (a herbal oil intended for external application), where selected botanicals are slowly infused into a base oil so that their character passes gently into the finished preparation.

A classical Thailam
Like all traditional Thailams, Murivenna is made through patient cooking rather than haste, a process valued in Ayurveda for the depth and steadiness it lends the oil. Its warm, herbaceous aroma and smooth, easily absorbed texture make it a natural companion to Abhyanga (the traditional practice of self massage with oil), long held to be a grounding part of a regular daily routine.
How to use
Warm a small quantity between the palms and apply evenly to the skin with slow circular movements, allowing a few quiet minutes for it to settle before bathing. It fits comfortably into an evening ritual or a calm morning Dinacharya (the Ayurvedic daily routine). For external use only.
