A Kashayam is one of the foundational preparations of Ayurveda, traditionally made by slowly reducing botanicals in water to concentrate their character. Presenting it as a tablet preserves this classical intent in a form that is simple to keep and to take. Decoctions of this kind are typically built around herbs of bitter and astringent Rasa (taste) and have long had a place within Dinacharya, the classical ordering of the day. In Ayurvedic thinking they are associated with the balance of the three Doshas according to constitution.
How to use
