Draksharishtam is a classical Ayurvedic Arishtam (a naturally fermented herbal tonic) from Sitaram Ayurveda, prepared according to methods handed down through generations. Its name draws on Draksha (the classical grape), and the preparation belongs to a family of fermented tonics long held in esteem within the Ayurvedic texts.
Ingredients
Classical Ayurvedic fermented herbal preparation traditionally made with black grapes (Vitis vinifera) and a decoction of selected herbs, prepared in a sweetening base and allowed to ferment naturally to develop its characteristic aroma and taste.
How to use
Shake the bottle well before use. Measure the suggested amount into a small cup and dilute with an equal quantity of lukewarm water, unless your practitioner advises otherwise. Consume slowly after food.
Routine tips
Enjoy Draksharishtam after main meals, allowing a small gap of at least thirty minutes before or after taking other herbal supplements. Pair with a light, balanced diet and adequate hydration through the day for an easy, sustainable routine.
Practitioner guidance
This is a classical fermented herbal preparation and is best used under the guidance of an Ayurvedic practitioner, who can personalise the quantity and duration according to individual constitution and current regimen.
Draksharishtam
The Arishtam tradition
An Arishtam is prepared through natural fermentation, in which herbs and their decoctions are left to mature slowly so that the preparation develops its own gentle, self generated character without added spirit. This slow fermentation process is a distinctive mark of the classical craft, giving the tonic its deep colour and naturally aromatic profile.
Within a regular daily routine
In Dinacharya (the traditional daily routine), an Arishtam is taken calmly, usually diluted with an equal part of water, most often after meals. Shake the bottle gently before use.
How to use
Take a small measure diluted with an equal part of water, or as advised by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner. Best enjoyed as part of a calm, regular rhythm.
Heritage from Kerala
Sitaram Ayurveda has prepared classical formulations in Kerala since 1921, keeping to authentic recipes under modern GMP quality standards, so that each bottle reflects its South Indian heritage.
